Cik B (real name Nur Edlynn Zamileen) made a huge splash on the internet with her recent bold hairdo! The young rapper debuted her curly hair side buzz cut on her socials last week.

However, it appears that not everyone approved of Cik B’s dramatic transformation. Many said that she looks more like a boy rather than a girl with this short hairdo. In response to the backlash, Cik B appeared in an interview with mStar to shed some light on the matter.

According to Cik B, her mom (Dato’ Seri Vida) was the one who advised her to get her hair chopped. “Mama said my hair was damaged, so I needed to chop it to let (new hair) grow out. (But) I didn’t let her touch the front side of my hair. She helped cut it, but the result was not good. So, I had to go to a barber shop to get my hair fixed,” she told the portal.

During the chat, the “Tolonglah Aku” rapper added, “My hair was damaged from bleaching, and I didn’t take care good care of it. If I don’t chop it off, I’ll go bald (from hair fall). My hair is getting better now after the haircut.”

Cik B also appeared to address the public’s backlash against her new tomboyish image. To quote the 17-year-old influencer, “I just ignore all the comments because I’m already immune to it. It doesn’t matter because for me, you do you (and) I’ll do me. Because we can’t simply stop other people from talking about us.”
