It’s durian season in Malaysia and many durian fans have been excitedly sharing about the king of fruit – including Chinese actress Zhang Jingchu (张静初)! The 44-year-old recently revealed that she stayed at a durian farm in Penang to fulfil a four-year-long wish to eat as much durian as she pleased.
The film star recently took to social media to share a look into her experience of staying at an organic durian farm in Balik Pulau, Penang. In the captions, Zhang Jingchu said she lived on the farm for four days and had unlimited durian for every meal, for every day. The actress also shared that she tried many different varieties of durian during her stay and even tasted up to eleven varieties in one meal.
In the video she shared on her Weibo account, Zhang Jingchu couldn’t hide her excitement after seeing all the durian. However, the actress still appeared graceful as she indulged in all the varieties of durian offered by the staff. At one point, the “Rush Hour 3” star also tried to open a durian, and while it did take some time, Zhang Jingchu managed to open one on her own. The public figure also revealed that she had waited four years to come to the durian farm, showing how much of a durian lover she truly is.
Many fans have reacted to Zhang Jingchu sharing her durian adventures, saying that she achieved “durian freedom” and could freely enjoy durian to her heart’s content. Others said they were drooling as they watched the star indulge in some durian, adding that they’re envious of her durian farm experience. At the same time, many Malaysians also extended a warm welcome to Zhang Jingchu.
