When Chinese streaming site MangoTV announced it was bringing Chinese actress Shen Yue (沈月) to Malaysia for a fan meeting, fans were ecstatic as it would be the star’s first event in the country. However, it appears that fans weren’t the only ones overjoyed by the event.
On 17th September 20205 (Wednesday), MangoTV and Shen Yue held their fan meeting at Zepp Kuala Lumpur. The event was part of a world tour featuring the actress, who is the streaming site’s brand ambassador. During the event, the 28-year-old appeared on stage dressed in princess-like outfits. Besides interacting with fans and playing games, Shen Yue also performed several songs.

According to reports, the actress arrived in Malaysia at 3am. Upon waking up, she immediately attended rehearsals and interviews with local news outlets. Shen Yue lamented about the tight schedule, noting that she didn’t have time to enjoy local cuisines. However, she expressed interest in trying bak kut teh, saying, “I heard that bak kut teh is best eaten dry. I tried the soup version the last time (I was in Malaysia), so I hope to try the dry version this time.”
During the fan meeting, local fans surprised Shen Yue with a video project. After watching the video on stage, the actress was moved to tears. She said, “There are always such videos at fan meetings. Although I know what fans would say, I still cry every time. I don’t know how else to convey my feelings but to say thank you.” She would later tear up again when it was time to conclude the fan meeting, showing how she didn’t want to say goodbye to her fans.

Shen Yue revealed that she had planned to perform more songs during the fan meeting, but was unable to do so because of the time limit. However, she promised to prepare more surprises for fans the next time she holds a fan meeting in Malaysia. The “Meteor Garden” star also said she wants to return to Malaysia for a holiday when she has some time off from her busy schedule.
It does seem that both Shen Yue and the fans had a wonderful time together at the fan meeting. We hope the actress will return to Malaysia soon. In the meantime, here are some videos from the event:
