The new year has only begun, but we’re already seeing international stars make their way to Malaysia. Chinese heartthrob Lin Yi (林一) recently landed in Kuala Lumpur before his first fan meeting in Malaysia.
The star arrived at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) on 1st January 2025 (Wednesday), marking his first appearance in Malaysia since his debut in 2019. Since this is his first time in the country, it’s no surprise that his adoring fans were prepared to welcome him during his arrival. Many fans waited hours to greet Lin Yi, catching a glimpse of him before his fan meeting on 3rd January 2024 (Friday).
In a video posted by WeTV Malaysia, fans gathered at the airport to welcome the 25-year-old and shower him with gifts and letters. Some even took the opportunity to share greeting messages for Lin Yi in different languages to reflect Malaysia’s multicultural background. The actor, who wore a white t-shirt and denim jacket, with a black hat and face mask, was still noticeable amongst the crowd, thanks to his 187cm height.
WeTV Malaysia also shared another video of the star, where he greeted the camera upon his arrival at KLIA. In the video, Lin Yi shared a message for his fans, saying, “Apa Khabar? WeTV friends, how are you? I’ve reached Malaysia.” Many fans have reacted to both videos, welcoming the “The Tale Of Rose” actor to Malaysia. Some also expressed excitement for his upcoming event, hoping he’ll enjoy his stay in KL.
Lin Yi will hold his first fan meeting in Malaysia, “A Date With Lin Yi”, tomorrow evening at the Multipurpose Hall at SEGi University. The event is organised by WeTV, and tickets to the event were exclusively for the subscribers of the streaming site. Unfortunately, the ticket redemption period has ended, so fans who missed out on entry passes can no longer try their luck to see the star up close.
