Lately, numerous famous faces, ranging from singers to actors, have been spotted around Kuala Lumpur, be it for their events or just randomly here for a vacation. Stars such as Darren Chen (官鸿) and Alan Walker have recently been spotted by fans around KL, with the latter taking time off after his concert to explore the city.
In line with that, another renowned actor unexpectedly appeared in Kuala Lumpur last week! Bollywood icon Datuk Shah Rukh Khan was in KL for the opening ceremony of the Bin Zayed International Group of Companies (BZI) office in the city centre. Here’s what went down:

Referred to by the media as “King Khan,” the star’s last appearance in Malaysia was to perform his Temptation Reloaded Tour back in 2014, where he managed to give his all despite having injuries. On Friday (22nd November), the King of Bollywood was again invited as a special guest, but this time for the grand opening of the Dubai-based company, BZI, located in The Exchange 106. Sporting a white shirt and a blazer, he attended the event alongside the Chairman of the company, Sheikh Khaled Zayed Saquer Zayed Al Nahyan.
“Assalamualaikum, good evening, hello, and Selamat Datang,” the 55-year-old told everyone who attended the event at The Exchange 106. The actor, who isn’t a stranger to Malaysia, expressed his excitement and happiness in returning to KL. He also praised the growth of the world-renowned investment leader BZI in our country, as well as the international cooperation between the United Arab Emirates and Malaysia.

BZI is owned by Sheikh Khaled Zayed Saquer Zayed Al Nahyan, a prominent businessman and a member of the UAE royal family. The Dubai-based company is a global investment conglomerate specialising in technology and financial services, construction and energy, trading, and services.
During his speech, Shah Rukh Khan also added that the extension was an important step in strengthening economic connections between the two nations, emphasising that development is only effective when it is required. He concluded his speech by thanking the guests and stated that if he got another chance, he would even love to sing and dance for everyone.
