While Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) Terminal 1 still has several issues that need to be resolved, Terminal 2, on the other hand, has been earning praise for its recent upgrades. If you haven’t visited KLIA Terminal 2 in a while, you’ve probably missed out on some impressive changes.
Recently, KLIA shared a video on their official social media pages showcasing the major glow-up of one of the boarding gates. Let’s take a look:

If you’re a frequent traveller, you’ll know that, unless you’re a VIP or flying business class, an airport’s regular boarding gate lounge is rarely the most comfortable place to wait for your flight, especially during delays. Compared with the VIP lounges, the seats are often placed too close together, leaving you feeling cramped and perhaps even a little claustrophobic.
Now, that has all changed at KLIA Terminal 2. As seen in the screenshots above, the lounge areas now look more spacious and modern. The old plastic chairs have been replaced with long sofas and more comfortable seating, more power outlets to charge your devices, and there’s much more natural light streaming in. Overall, passengers are sure to feel more relaxed while waiting to board their flights.

“Your boarding experience just got an upgrade! Enjoy more space, new comfy seats, and brighter vibes at our refreshed boarding gate lounge L. Designed to make waiting as relaxing as your holiday. More upgrades coming soon!” KLIA wrote in their caption. These new lounge areas are currently available at Gate L13, L18, L20 and L22. Have you travelled anywhere recently? What do you think of KLIA Terminal 2’s lounge area upgrades?
