It was previously reported that the actor had asked for divorce through a phone call. During an interview with Remaja, actress Puteri Sarah Liyana was asked to give her thoughts on men who divorce their wives via phone call, possibly referring to the recent marital drama between Hafidz Roshdi and his wife Shuhada. The actress gave her answer by saying, “I think men who do this are cowards. If you’re going to divorce someone, do it properly. Don’t use Whatsapp or do it through a phone call.”
The 37-year-old added that only an undignified man would do such a thing to their spouse. “However angry you are, you should still follow proper procedure. Don’t just give in to your emotions,” she told Remaja. She further stated that women should not be treated as something so disposable. After the interview was posted on TikTok, many netizens, mostly women, agreed with the “Andai Itu Takdirnya” star’s statement.
In related news, Shuhada reportedly contacted Puteri to ask for advice on how to deal with a cheating partner. During a live broadcast on TikTok, the Malaysian actress revealed that she walked her through the legal actions she can take against her husband. “I’m not just doing this for myself. I want to help women who are being persecuted,” she said during the Live.
For your information, Puteri Sarah also has her share of marital problems. The celeb recently filed for divorce from her husband actor and director Syamsul Yusof, who secretly married his second wife without her blessing.
