A 47-year-old Chinese man from Seremban was caught on camera physically assaulting his 17-year-old daughter. Reports say that the man got aggressive after his daughter exposed him for raping her last year.
The incident first came to light after the video of the assault circulated on social media. In the video that took place at their home in Rembau, the lorry driver was beating her with several objects, including a plastic chair and laundry basket. He also dragged the girl across the room by the hair, which left her with multiple injuries all over her body. News outlets say the man was under the influence of alcohol during the attack that happened on 23rd January.

Following the traumatic incident, the 17-year-old was rushed to the Tuanku Ampuan Najihah Hospital in Kuala Pilah, where she received 12 stitches for her injuries. Shockingly, the medical officer revealed that the teenager was once sexually assaulted by her father. The victim claimed she was raped by the man last November and had brought up the incident to her father’s girlfriend, which angered the man.
Authorities arrested the 47-year-old after receiving a report from the victim’s boyfriend. News reports write that the man had seven previous drug-related criminal records and is currently in police custody. In an interview with China Press, the victim’s boyfriend claimed that the father had begged him to drop the police report made towards him. He also shared that the victim had previously told him about her father’s abuse, including the rape. The boyfriend said he planned to move the teenager out of her father’s home before the incident.
Rembau District police chief DSP Hazri Mohamad said the suspect is being investigated for incest and voluntarily causing hurt under Sections 324 and 376(B) of the Penal Code, as well as domestic violence under Section 18(A) of the Domestic Violence Act 1994. The suspect’s girlfriend has also been called into question to help with the investigation.
