(Video) 14yo Entrepreneur Receives Backlash For Flaunting RM1.8K Starbucks Tumbler

“Money, money, money, must be funny, in a rich man’s world”. One of the most iconic lyrics written and performed by Swedish supergroup ABBA. Money can be a very touchy subject and whenever someone flaunts their wealth, it usually bring about all kinds of (mostly negative) reactions from people.

Yes, it’s completely fine for anyone to spend their money however they like, but sometimes some of these purchases can be rather ridiculous. Even if you’re one of the richest people in the country, would you actually spend over RM1K for a tumbler? This teenager surely did.

@putriluthfiya_

Rasa dia macam menyesal je beli mahal2 sebab air tu tak boleh turunkan berat badan piya 🤣 saka kurus dari #bebycurf je boleh turunkan berat badan piya, kalau korang nak turunkan berat badan boleh tekan link dekat bio piya ye 😘 #fyp #fypgakni #tumblerrhinestones #jutawanmuda #jomkurus

Teenage entrepreneur Putri Lutfiya recently posted a video on her TikTok where she was flaunting her newest luxury purchase. In the video, the public figure was seen in a school uniform exiting her red Porsche car while drinking out of a RM1.8K Starbucks tumbler that she apparently carries everywhere with her.

“At first it felt so good to drink out of this tumbler but then I regretted buying only 1. Guess I’ll have to get another, hahaha,” read the caption in the video. The post has so far reached over 2 million views, 53.4k likes, and 5.1k comments. It seems that the 14-year-old’s video has managed to trigger a lot of people.

Some were joking along with her while others were criticising the business owner for flaunting her wealth, arguing that God can simply take it away. There were also netizens who questioned the purchase as Starbucks tumblers, as it doesn’t usually cost more than RM400. According to mStar, Putri clarified that the expensive Tumbler really did cost her RM1.8K as it was a limited edition.

“The Tumbler was from the 2021 edition and there are only 5 of them. I’ve been wanting one for so long, so it’s okay if my personal shopper raised the price a little,” she said. In response to the backlash, the founder of Bebycurf told mStar that she’s never asked her parents to buy her anything expensive. Putri also insisted that she splurge wit her own hard earned her money.

“My parents are okay with my luxury purchases cause I’m so used to buying them. This isn’t my first expensive item,” she stated. While many didn’t agree with her flaunting, one can’t deny that Putri Lutfiya has done pretty well for herself at 14 to be able to afford all these expensive items.
