What will happen when you design a Star Wars-themed T-shirt for Japanese fashion retailer UNIQLO? Well, you will either end up wearing it yourself or win the UNIQLO T-shirt (UT) Grand Prix 2015!
UNIQLO’s T-shirt Design Contest has returned and this time around, they’ve chosen Star Wars as the theme for the upcoming 2015 Spring/Summer collection. As the production for Star Wars Episode VII is currently underway, the contest provides a global platform for artists and fans to seek recognition for their artworks.
If you were wondering what’s so special about the contest, let’s just say that you could earn yourself a chance of a lifetime experience to visit the Lucasfilm Headquarters San Francisco!
Say what? Yes.
The very same place where you can see the famed Yoda statue and fountain in real life! Located in San Francisco’s historic Presidio National Park, the headquarters boast a beautiful 23-acre campus with a collection of statues celebrating Bay Area’s legends of moviemaking.
But of course, you can only experience the tour only if you are the Grand Prize or 2nd prize winner. The winners will be awarded with cash prizes as well and their designs will be made available in all of its stores worldwide. UNIQLO will accept entries starting from 14th July until 31st August 2014 and at the end of it, Darth Vader himself and other special Star Wars characters will be judging the designs!
