From bright swirls of food colouring to fabulous candy toppings, it’s always a delight when desserts are served in bright and fun colours. These indulgence in Malaysia aren’t just pretty to eat, they’ll also bring out your inner child and win over your social media followers. What are you waiting for? 1. Rainbow Mille Crepe @ Ahoy Café

Staying true to its sailor-themed interior décor, Ahoy (a common term used for hailing ships) Cafe offers many Instagram-worthy opportunities. From sandwiches to light bites and pasta, the eatery also serves Bitter Chocolate, Musang King Durian, and other colourful delights. Having said that, our favourite is still the Rainbow Mille Crepe. Not only is it appealing to the eyes, but also satisfying to a sweet tooth’s appetite.

2. Superman Rainbow Cake @ DC Comics Super Heroes Cafe

Wanna treat yourself to some “super” desserts? The DC Comics Super Heroes Cafe welcomes all superheroes and villains. If you grew up loving the DC Extended Universe, the store offers ample Justice League-themed cupcakes and crazy desserts when you dine-in, take-away, or save the day. The cafe is also placed alongside the DC comic shop, which gives diners a fun immersive interactive experience.

3. Rainbow Cheese Toast @ Loaf U

Instead of flying to Thailand for the rainbow toast, you can now find it in Penang’s Loaf U (which sounds like “love you”). It may look like a simple toast at first, but pull it apart and you’ll find a colourful piece of rainbow. Are you drooling already? Cause we sure are 😉

4. Rainbow Macaron Ice-Cream Sandwich @ Negative Celsius

Can you think of a more unique creation than Negative Celsius’ Rainbow Macaron Ice-Cream Sandwich? There are 7 types of macaron available – pink, blue, yellow, purple, grey, green, orange. You can then pair it with your choice of ice cream and toppings. The mobile food truck travels around the Klang Valley but you can always track them down via social media.

Why settle for rainbow and cheese separately when you can have them together? You can probably find Pisang Goreng at most night markets and kuih-muih stalls, but Rainbow Pisang Goreng? Now, that’s a rare sight. As you can see from the image above, Pisang Kejuk also offers other flavours such as butterscotch, cheese, crunch, and chocolate.

6. Rainbow Bagels @ Bowery Petit

Ooh, such pretty colours! Your eyes are not playing a trick on you. The Rainbow Bagel stands out easily with its psychedelic swirls of fun colours. It actually tastes like a normal egg bagel but infused with funky food toppings before baking it. You will also find a puffy-thick layer of cream cheese of “fun-fetti” frosting inside. We thank the unicorn gods for creating this fabulous miracle.

7. Rainbow Milkshake @ Bowery Petit

If you’re already having a Rainbow Bagel at Bowery Petit, you may as well pair with an eye-pleasing Rainbow Bagel Crazy Shake. This delicious drink is served with whip-cream, rainbow sprinkles, and also a bit of their best-selling Rainbow Bagel. This is perhaps the ultimate rainbow food porn you’ll find in the Klang Valley.
