Under Armour hosted its first-ever inaugural 5-on-5 basketball competition in celebration of the highly anticipated Curry X Bruce Lee basketball collection. Held in collaboration with Hoops Station, the event took place at the UCSI University campus, drawing youths and young adults aged 16 to 23 years old, encompassing both males and females. With forty (40) teams of eight players formed, the participants competed for the reigning Under Armour 5-on-5 Basketball competition title in both male and female categories.
Inspired by Under Armour’s motto “Protect This House” the 5-on5 basketball competition enabled students to give their all to “protect” everything they have and aspire to become. Exemplifying team spirit, the competition encouraged the students to play hard and protect their respective teams.
Beyond the competition, it served as an opportunity for participants to display their basketball skills, aspiring to become icons in their own right, celebrating legendary Stephen Curry, a global UA Basketball Ambassador who is credited with revolutionising the game of basketball, and his partnership with Bruce Lee Family Companies in creating a collection that pays tribute to Bruce Lee’s groundbreaking work in martial arts and film – both icons in their own right.

One of the key highlights of the event is the UA Curry 3-point contest which provided the participants to test out their 3-point skills, inspired by Stephen Curry’s remarkable 3-point skills on the basketball court.
Basketball fans can look forward to the Under Armour Curry X Bruce Lee collection, featuring a set of collectible shoes such as the UA Curry 11 ‘Fire,’ UA Curry 11 ‘Future Dragon,’ and UA Curry 11 ‘Wind,’ available at the price of RM699.
Additionally, fans can look forward to the exclusive limited edition Curry X Bruce Lee Lunar New Year apparel collection, available for a limited time at selected stores, including the Under Armour brand houses at KLCC, Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, TRX Exchange, Mid Valley, Sunway Pyramid, One Utama, Genting Sky Avenue, and QueensBay Mall.
