Rejoice Kuantan folks! Uber has now expanded its services to your region.
In celebration of its 3rd anniversary, Uber has extended its operations to the 9th city in Malaysia – Kuantan. This comes just in time for Chinese New Year! For those traveling back to Kuantan with no transportation to get around, you can now opt for an Uber ride instead.
“Whether you’re looking to get home from Kuantan Sentral Terminal after a bus ride to Kuantan, or get to East Coast Mall for a round (or two!) of shopping, look no further – your Uber is here,” reads the statement by Uber.
Since Uber Kuantan is just hitting the streets, availability may be limited so do take note that you may have to wait slightly longer than usual.
As for the Uber rates, the base fare starts at RM 1, followed by RM0.30 per minute and RM0.60 per kilometre. The cancelation fee will be RM5.
To celebrate Uber’s launch in Kuantan for 1 month, new users will get to enjoy 4 free rides worth RM5 each from today (Wednesday, 25th January) until this Saturday (28th January). Just remember to key in the promo code: RIDEUBERKUANTAN.
