A new degree of coolness has just hit the road! Introducing the Mercedes-Benz GELÄNDEWAGEN, also known as the G 580! This beast of an SUV has been specially designed by everyone’s favourite car manufacturer to take on any and all roads! And can you believe it’s all electric?
It’s an absolute unit of a car, capable of handling a 40° climb automatically – and can even perform a 720° G-TURN. The launch we attended at The Exchange TRX was a monumental showcase of Mercedes-Benz’s legendary off-roading prowess and sleek style and innovation.

OPPO Launches Reno14 Series at OOO Music Festival
OPPO Malaysia brought the hype to the OOO Music Festival with the launch of its Reno14 Series at Heritage Valley KL. With performances by Masdo, Steady Gang, Priscilla Abby, Iman Troye and more, festivalgoers got to experience the phone’s features up close. Interactive zones were a crowd favourite, especially the Reno14’s AI-powered Flash that captured clear, vibrant shots even in low light. It was a fun mix of music, tech and plenty of Instagram-worthy moments.
Now, the Reno14 Roadshow is happening at Pavilion KL from 2nd to 6th July. Expect live performances, giveaways, interactive zones and lots of photo ops. On 5th July, catch appearances by Lin Min-Chen, Phei Yong, Bunga and Empty Page. OPPO is also offering launch deals worth up to RM2,396 with rebates, OPPO Care Plus, and freebies like Enco Buds3 for those planning to check out the new Reno14.

Suria KLCC recently unveiled the much-anticipated return of its award-winning “Picnic in the Park”, now reimagined as a vibrant festival. Set across the Esplanade KLCC and KLCC Park, the bespoke event runs from today until 6th July. Netflix Turned LalaPort Into A Real-Life Squid Game Arena
If you were at LalaPort Bukit Bintang City Centre from 27th to 29th June, you probably saw crowds in red jumpsuits, green tracksuits and even a giant creepy doll. Netflix turned the area into a real-life Squid Game playground, complete with life-sized versions of the show’s most iconic games. Fans got to play Red Light, Green Light and catch a sneak peek of a brand new Season 3 challenge. It felt like part cosplay party, part intense game day and yes, someone did show up as Player 456.
Beyond the photo ops and fan excitement, things got serious during the timed gameplay sessions. Players aged 18 and above had to register, wear proper shoes and be ready to compete for exclusive Netflix prizes. No heels, no health risks and no shortcuts allowed. It was less about just playing and more about surviving Squid Game-style, minus the actual danger. Now that Season 3 is streaming, fans can say they got a real taste of the game and were part of Squid Game history.

Skate Malaysia 2025 Launch @ Sunway Pyramid
You might assume that a tropical and humid country like Malaysia would find it impossible to host winter sports— after all, it’s far removed from snow and ice. Yet, Skate Malaysia defies expectations, and its 17th installment (held from 25th to 29th June 2025) drew over 600 contestants from across Southeast Asia and beyond. Set within a sprawling indoor rink nestled in Sunway Pyramid, the competition brought an icy spectacle to the heart of Kuala Lumpur – atop a foundation of cutting-edge infrastructure and devoted organisers.
Despite the stifling heat outside, the rink itself buzzed with excitement and determination, as well as skaters – from beginners mastering edges, to seasoned competitors executing precise spins and jumps. The event featured nearly 1,700 programmes, extended to five days due to strong demand. This remarkable turnout highlights Malaysia’s evolving role in expanding winter sports in the tropics, proving that with vision, investment, and passion, even the equatorial heat cannot stop the glide of ice.
