The unexpected has happened.

TWICE’s concert in Kuala Lumpur, which was scheduled for tomorrow at Malawati Indoor Stadium, has been cancelled. JYP Entertainment announced the bad news via the girl group’s fancafe.

The label released a simple statement, explaining that the cancellation was due to safety issues. However, no other details were given.

The full statement reads:

“This is JYP Entertainment. It is with great regret to inform you that TWICE 2nd Tour ‘TWICELAND ZONE 2: Fantasy Park’ in Kuala Lumpur which was scheduled 28th of July, 2018 has been cancelled due to safety issue in the venue.

We ask for your generous understanding that this decision has been made considering the safety of the artistes and audience as our top priority.

We are truly sad to deliver this announcement to all our fans who have been waiting for TWICE. JYP Entertainment and TWICE will put more efforts.”

We’re still in shock considering we just spoke to the girls at their media press conference earlier this afternoon. Meanwhile, IME Malaysia just released an official statement moments ago.

The statement reads:

“As referring to JYP Entertainment announcement,
