K-Pop sensation TWICE (트와이스) has been on the road for their “This Is For” tour for almost a year, performing shows every other day. The members have repeatedly been candid about the hardships of touring, but one recent revelation adds to the growing list.
The girl group is currently in Europe for the last leg of their world tour. They recently concluded a show in Berlin and are set to perform in Cologne today (Tuesday, 26th May 2026). Amid their busy schedule, the TWICE members would interact with fans through the Bubble messaging app, including answering some questions.

Earlier this week, a fan reached out to leader Jihyo (지효) through Bubble, asking about the oxygen tanks they noticed in some of the group’s backstage photos. The fan questioned whether the members often use supplemental oxygen during their performances, to which the 29-year-old idol said yes.
According to Jihyo, the group’s choreographies can be very physically demanding. When paired with back-to-back performances, it can leave the girls exhausted and out of breath. The singer notes that the oxygen tanks come in handy when the dizziness gets very bad. However, Jihyo never mentioned how often she uses supplemental oxygen throughout the tour.
Nevertheless, the revelation sparked interest among fans, with many saying the oxygen tanks prove how hard the members work for the tour. They also praised the group for giving their all for their shows, saying the idols have never sparked criticism for “lazy performance” despite being ten years into their debut.

On the other hand, some expressed sympathy towards the idols, arguing that they wouldn’t need such medical aid if the tour schedule weren’t so packed and taxing. It’s also worth noting that several of the TWICE members have pulled out of performances during the tour’s run due to health issues.
Meanwhile, the “This Is For” world tour is nearing the end, with just a handful of shows left in Germany, the Netherlands and England. Let’s hope the members will have plenty of time to rest and recharge after concluding the tour.
