Another week, another whirlwind of totally EXTRA events! We were here, there and everywhere!
We tumbled over TUMI’s Fall 2023 collection, made it rain with HABIB’s new gold coin series, went loco over vivo’s new phone launch, made some noise for Jamal Abdillah, and MUCH, MUCH MORE! TUMI Fall 2023 Collection Preview
We made a beeline for TUMI’s glorious pop-up at Ilham Tower, KLCC, for a preview of the brand’s “Essentially Beautiful” campaign for Fall 2023. We ooohed and aaahed over the new colourways of the iconic 19 Degree line, and gagged over the newly-launched Georgica women’s collection. The sensational bags and luggage included wheeled briefs, carry-ons and extended trip packing cases which showcased TUMI’s exquisite artistry and craftsmanship.

Jamal Abdillah Live In Concert PC
It’s been a while since music legend Dato Jamal Abdillah held a concert in Malaysia. So it was cause for celebration when the icon, known for many hits, including “Azura”, “Gadis Melayu”, and “Seroja”, recently announced that he’ll be back on stage for a solo concert in September! We were at the press conference where the legend himself revealed that he may also be doing a duet with another local legend.
The concert will take place at Plenary Hall, Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre on 9th September. Even though the show date is a month away, the singer is confident that he is ready to wow the crowd, as he always does. Tickets are now on sale and if this concert goes well, both Jamal and the organiser said that they might add a second date! So if you want to enjoy more of his enchanting voice, be sure to secure those tickets and be on the lookout for the date of the encore!

Launch Of Vivo Y78 5G
Phone launches are always exciting, because who doesn’t love new gadgets? Earlier this week, vivo launched their Y78 5G phone at Aleyzo Speedzone Go Kart in Shah Alam, and we were in the thick of it. The new release sets new standards for smartphones, with a price below RM1,500! MBT Shoes Opens First Store In Malaysia
We were recently at the grand opening of the first-ever MBT Shoes brand store in Malaysia! Nicknamed ‘The Masai Experience’, the outlet at Sunway Velocity Mall is the footwear brand’s first expansion into Malaysia. MBT Shoes Group CEO, Philippe Le Bretton, officiated the opening, and we also got to hear him talk about the brand and its expansion plans.

We took part in the store’s massive launch event, which was filled with great music and even a dance performance to take things up a notch. MamyPoko Launches Fight Against Dengue
Dengue cases have been on the rise, and parents of small children aren’t the only ones concerned. Trusted brand MamyPoko recently joined hands with Jabatan Kebajikan Masyarakat (JKM) to combat dengue with their brand new, innovative product MamyPoko ANTIMOS Pants! MamyPoko has also pledged to distribute 1,500 MamyPoko ANTIMOS Pants with JKM’s help to disadvantaged communities in the Klang Valley and Johor; and organise gotong-royong activities in select neighbourhoods.
The launch of their #MamyPokoAgainstDengue campaign was officiated by Managing Director of Uni-Charm Group Malaysia and Singapore, Mr. Eiji Yoshida, MamyPoko brand ambassador Mira Filzah, Consultant Paediatrician and Paediatric Cardiologist, Dr Yong Junina Fadzil, and JKM’s representative, Puan Wan Noraidah.

Melawati Mall Turns 6
Happy birthday, Melawati Mall! The beloved mall in Taman Melawati recently celebrated its 6th anniversary with a shopping spree challenge. For the past two weeks, shoppers were able to take part in the anniversary campaign and stand a chance to win a shopping spree at the mall’s participating brands (such as Guardian, Sasa & more) with a minimum spend of RM200.
In addition, shoppers joined in on exciting activities at the main atrium, where they were tested on their catching skills at the Catch Stick Game; and gripping skills at the Electric Wire Loop section. There was also a popcorn booth where kids and adults could munch on the yummy snack for free. As part of the campaign, visitors could upgrade their MMKC Membership and grab the limited-edition MMKC passport to collect stamps for exciting gifts and perks.
