Hyun’s exploration of the ‘Archetype’ male fragrance was inspired by his own memories of smells associated with people, objects, first dates, and an endless array of perfume ingredients. The result is not a traditional blend, but rather a surprisingly delightful fusion. Etat Libre d’Orange has added a new fragrance to their Classic Collection. At the heart of the cocarde lies a visual representation of love: a spiral of emotions that culminates in a subtle heart shape, symbolising true love.
To achieve this design, the team collaborated with Artificial Intelligence to generate movements based on a heart shape, repeating them to reflect the rhythm of heartbeats and the essence of love stories. Surrounding this heart, vibrant shades of orange and pink were incorporated to enhance the olfactory signature and mood of this warm, cozy, and powerful fragrance.
CHASING SCENTS | PRIVATE TEAHOUSE
Private Teahouse is a fragrance inspired by the serene experience of stepping into a peaceful teahouse, offering an escape from the daily hustle and bustle.
As you peer through the windows of this Private Teahouse, the rich aroma of smoky black tea wafts from the wooden frames, mingling with the mountain fog—a warm invitation to a fragrant sanctuary apart from the everyday world. This perfume centres on the deep aromatic profile of Lapsang Souchong tea, renowned for its wood-smoked black tea flavour and produced in the Wuyi Mountains.
It features tea extracts crafted in-house from precious loose leaf, requiring meticulous control over extraction conditions and cycles in a Soxhlet apparatus to create an aromatic concentrate that is rarely found in mainstream fragrances.
THE HOUSE OF OUD | WHITE PEARL
White Pearl is inspired by the exquisite Akoya pearls, celebrated for their enchanting roundness, vibrant shades, and natural lustre, which make them truly unique. Pearls have long been associated with class and elegance, famously adored by Queen Elizabeth II. A symbol of this special bond is her historic four-strand Japanese Pearl Choker—a treasure gifted to us by the sea.
This fragrance captures the essence of those marine notes, forming a foundation for a delicate interplay of ethereal floral notes and lively spices. The fresh accord of Pink Pepper and Cardamom is masterfully blended with a lush floral bouquet of Ylang Ylang, Rose, and Iris. The result is a composition that evokes the iridescent hues and smooth, polished texture of a precious white pearl.
