If you have any foreign friends planning to visit Kuala Lumpur, make sure you bring them to the Petronas Twin Towers.

The iconic Malaysian skyscrapers is not just the tallest twin towers in the world, but it is also recently ranked by TripAdvisor, one of the world’s largest travel sites, as Asia’s 7th top landmark for their Travellers’ Choice awards 2016.

According to The Star, the rankings were determined using a system which takes the quantity and quality of reviews and ratings into account throughout a 12-month period.

The 1,483-feet-high landscape was designed by Argentine architect Cesar Pelli and it has 88 floors. The users of the website described the Petronas Twin Towers as “one of the most incredible architectural standings in the world”. One user said:

“The views from the top were splendid, but it was also a thrill to look up from the ground and think I was all the way up there.”

The landscape gained a lot of attention recently, thanks to the 2nd trailer for “Independence Day: Resurgence” which featured a short cameo of the twin towers getting smashed to bits.

The top 3 Asian landmarks are Angkor Wat in Siem Reap, Cambodia; Taj Mahal in Agra, India; and the Great Wall at Mutianyu in Beijing, China.

Other must-see landmarks include Wat Pho (Temple of the Reclining Buddha) in Bangkok, Thailand; Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine in Kyoto, Japan; Shwedagon Pagoda in Yangon, Myanmar; and the Cu Chi Tunnels in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam.
