As 2025 approaches, many Malaysians are planning their travels for the new year, eager to take advantage of exciting promotions, great deals, and new travel destinations offered by airline agencies. However, with so many options, finding the best travel offers can feel overwhelming, especially early in the year – but there’s no need to fret.

Malaysia’s popular airlines, Malaysia Airlines, Batik Air, and AirAsia, are stepping up to provide exciting and exclusive opportunities for travellers. These airlines have announced amazing news, ensuring that travellers can easily book affordable flights and plan unforgettable trips to their dream destinations.

Malaysia Airlines is ushering in 2025 with an exclusive online-only promotion, offering up to 15% off flights as part of their MH Online Specials global campaign. This initiative encourages travellers to book digitally, offering enhanced features on the Malaysia Airlines website and mobile app. The promotion is available until 2nd December 2024 for those booking directly via the airline’s website.

By booking directly, passengers can personalise their travel experience by selecting seats, pre-ordering meals, and enjoying flexible booking options, including free refunds and rebooking. Families can take advantage of discounted fares and special offers for kids. For children under 12, Malaysia Airlines offers the MH Young Explorers Club, which includes benefits like family boarding, priority check-in, kids’ menus, and access to the airline’s Golden Lounges at KLIA Terminal 1.

For travellers seeking a more luxurious experience, Malaysia Airlines’ Business Class offers an exceptional journey with perks such as 40kg checked baggage, two 7kg cabin bags, priority check-in and baggage collection, and exclusive access to Golden Lounges. It’s the perfect option for those who value convenience and comfort.

Batik Air is expanding its network with the launch of two exciting new routes in Malaysia: Sandakan and Miri. Starting fares for these routes are as low as RM159 one-way, making these destinations more accessible. The new routes complement Batik Air’s existing flights to Sabah and Sarawak, including Kuching, Bintulu, Sibu, Kota Kinabalu, and Tawau.

With 14 weekly direct flights to Sandakan, a once-distant destination, Batik Air is making it easier for travellers to explore this hidden gem. Visitors can enjoy attractions such as Coco Cabana and Lankayan Island while benefiting from flexible fare options in Economy SuperSaver, Value, and Flexi, as well as Business Class. Batik Air also offers connections to more than 55 destinations worldwide, ensuring a comfortable and affordable travel experience for everyone.

Route Launch Dates: Sandakan (1st December 2024), Miri (14th January 2025).

AirAsia

AirAsia is set to launch its much-anticipated fixed fares for the Lunar New Year 2025, aiming to offer affordable travel for all during the upcoming festive season. Travellers can start planning their festive travel, with extra flights added between Singapore and East Malaysia.

Fly from Kuala Lumpur to Kuching, Bintulu, Miri, or Sibu; or from Johor Bahru to Kuching, Sibu, or Miri, at only RM328 all-in one way, while the fixed fare for Kuala Lumpur to Kota Kinabalu, Tawau, or Sandakan, or from Johor Bahru to Kota Kinabalu is only RM388 all-in one way. Book between 3rd December 2024 and 4th February 2025, travel from 24th January to 4th February 2025 to reunite with your loved ones.

Guests travelling this festive season are strongly encouraged to self check-in via airasia.com or the AirAsia MOVE app, available up to 14 days prior to the departure date and use the e-Boarding Pass to board the flight. For a smooth and seamless travel experience, guests are advised to arrive early at the airport.
