A male TikTok user caused a stir on social media over his antic shown on his page recently. The TikToker, Amirul Asyari, was caught by his friend soaking in a bath tub while rinsing his body with mineral water.

As revealed by the self-proclaimed athlete on his TikTok, he opted to bathe using mineral water (instead of regular water) to “look good”. Needless to say, the video was met with massive backlash from netizens. Most of them slammed him for wasting water.

“You think you are Michael Jackson? You cannot bathe using regular water?” Amirul’s friend said in the clip. “Listen here, it’s very hard for some people, especially those living at Zimbabwe and Uganda, to get a clean source of water. But here you are taking a bath with mineral water. Did your dad win the PRN?”

This also prompted Mohamad Faruqi Mohamad Nazri, the founder of Strawin Food Industries Sdn. Bhd., to air his two cents on the matter. “This morning, I was shocked by a Twitter post linked to our company. The video shows a teenager named Amirul bathing in a tub using our Muarra-branded mineral water. His action was met with various responses from netizens,” he wrote on his Facebook.

Faruqi went on and explained that his company’s mineral water has a pH of about 7.6, which is very good for the skin. He then thanked Amirul for using the Muarra product to let the public know the benefits of bathing using mineral water through his TikTok post. “Maybe in the future, we can invite a dermatologist specialist to comment on this. Thank you for using Muarra.”
