TikTok Awards Press Conference & Pre-Party
We’re excited, because in just a couple of weeks, TikTok Malaysia will hold its first-ever TikTok Awards! We attended the #TikTokAwardsMY press conference recently, where TikTok announced the nominees and hosts of the highly-anticipated awards night, which will honour the platform’s biggest and most popular creators.
Both the press conference and pre-party were held at the Godown Arts Centre KL, where everyone enjoyed the rest of the evening, mingling and taking photos until midnight. In collaboration with TV3, the TikTok Awards will take place on the 27th of August, so be sure to vote for your favourite content creators! Shu Uemura Rouge Unlimited Kinu Matte Launch
We were totally stoked to enter the ‘shu:verse’ – the stunning space created to launch Shu Uemura’s latest line of Rouge Unlimited Kinu Matte lipsticks! At the venue in Crane KL, guests experienced the Japanese “art of senses” with an array of specially-curated rooms inspired by the Kinu Matte lipsticks. In each room, we were able to try out the star of the night, the lipsticks themselves.
The brand’s newest lippies feature 20 diverse shades designed to suit the Asian skin tone. The formulation is as luxurious as the ‘chirimen’ silk it was inspired by – which guests were also able to feel in person in the main space of the shu:verse. Among the many highlights of the event was a show by eight talented make-up artists who demonstrated what gorgeous looks we can create with the Shu Uemura Rouge Unlimited Kinu Matte. ASUS Vivobook S 15 OLED BAPE Edition Launch
Who said tech can’t be fashionable? We dropped by BAPE CAFE!? at Suria KLCC, where they unveiled a special collaboration between BAPE and ASUS, featuring the exclusive Vivobook S 15 OLED BAPE Edition. This special laptop features patterns and designs from the Japanese street fashion brand etched onto the lid and touchpad, with additional motifs unique to this model.
However, being in a café, it was only fitting that we celebrated the launch with a hearty lunch featuring the titular ape and then some! You can watch what went down along with the tasty treats in the reel below:

Nokia Amplify Malaysia
If they aren’t making phones, they’re making tech that would make life easier for Malaysians! We were on the scene at the Grand Salon, Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur for the Nokia Amplify Malaysia event recently, when upcoming innovations from Nokia were unveiled to technophiles, gadget lovers and the media, to collective “oohs” and “ahhs.”
We were given a guided tour of circuit boards, chipsets, and many more gadgets and gizmos that’ll make it onto the market down the line – and they are all awesome! John Richmond Boutique Opening
If you’re looking for something befitting your edgy, sexy, rock ‘n’ roll attitude, your time has come, because John Richmond has just launched its first flagship store in Malaysia!

Meen M60 Launch
Flex something proudly Malaysian-made, with meen’s all-new flagship device! We swung by the W Hotel Kuala Lumpur and celebrated the launch of meen’s M60 smartphone at a glittering event we won’t soon forget.
We also sat in on meen’s strategy conference, which gave us a glimpse of what’s to come for the local company. Additionally, there were lucky draws left and right, with one special guest taking home the latest phone for himself. Check out what went down:

Zalora Bridal Affair Ready-To-Wear Collection Preview
If you’re looking for the perfect dress for your big day, the answer might just be a click away – because ZALORA just launched their new, ready-to-wear bridal collection! At the picturesque, Orchid Conservatory at Majestic Hotel KL, we were among the lucky ones to get a first-hand look at the beautiful pieces made in collaboration with two Malaysian designer brands, Nurita Harith and Merah Jambu.
We also heard the designers themselves reveal more about the pieces and their inspiration for the designs. The styled looks also featured dazzling jewellery from Diamond & Platinum, specifically their collaboration collection with Nurita, the La Gaia line. Guests looked beautiful, dressed in head-to-toe white, and were treated to a live saxophone performance, plus some goodies from ZALORA.

Lay’s Flavours Of The World Launch
We were at APW Bangsar, recently, for the launch of Lay’s three new, limited-edition variants – we wouldn’t have missed it for the world! Our favourite potato chip brand’s Flavours Of The World trio comprises Spicy, Tomato Ketchup and Chili Lime – flavours iconic to Korea, America and Mexico, respectively.
We absolutely loved the flavours, and munched on each variant as we enjoyed the sparkling entertainment, which included traditional dances from the three flavour-inspiring countries. We even rubbed shoulders with Aditya Ahuja, the Commercial Director for Pepsico Foods in Malaysia, Singapore & Pacific Islands, who gave us the lowdown on what Malaysian chips lovers can expect, how the 3 flavours came about, and how long we get to enjoy them for. Fahrenheit88’s ‘Greater Together’ Merdeka Celebration
We were front and centre when Fahrenheit88 launched its ‘Greater Together’ Merdeka Campaign, which pays tribute to unity and commemorates 66 years of Malaysia’s independence. ‘Greater Together’ promises an array of art-tastic activities and promotions that will ignite the spirit of togetherness; and the public is invited to join in the celebrations from now until 30th September 2023!
We had a taste of Fahrenheit88’s celebration, which saw the mall transformed into a world of art, in collaboration with Arkib Negara. We immersed ourselves in a colourful journey through local creativity, with over 50 homegrown artists showcasing their works at the ‘Seiring Sejalan’ Cartoon Exhibition, from now until 30th September, from 11am until 7pm, at the 2nd Floor. With three captivating sections, namely cartoons, comics and animation, this exhibition is a visual feast!
Over the weekends, the public can delight in interactive art activities and workshops by local talents, which include topics such as caricature-making, basic manual art, cartoon drawing, basic animation stop-motion, basic digital art, basic comic-drawing, basic doodling, and even Jawi comic-making. Don’t miss a dose of fun for all ages at Fahrenheit 88!

HABIB HARTA Museum & Art Gallery Preview
We were invited to an exclusive preview of HARTA – the latest public initiative from HABIB to celebrate Malaysia’s rich culture, heritage and art. The name holds a dual meaning, the first being ‘wealth’ in Malay and the other being an acronym for ‘HABIB: Action for the Revival of our Traditions and Arts.’ The captivating venue, nestled above the HABIB Ampang II showroom, is another testament to the brand’s commitment to preserving and revitalising our country’s traditions and arts.
At the event, we got a first-hand look at the three areas in the space – the HARTA Heritage Jewellery Museum, an art gallery and a cafe, all of which emanate a captivating aura. Before we entered the museum and the gallery, guests listened in as HARTA Director Mirsham Meer and gallery curator Aminah Ibrahim spoke fondly about the space.

Curious about top K-beauty brand, Axis-Y’s latest line, ay&me? Drop by their new pop up at The Starhill, Bukit Bintang, for an introduction to the line and their other products!
We got the chance to explore their offerings at their testing table, play with their gacha machine and take lots of gorgeous photos at their Instagrammable spots. If you’re lucky, you might even be able to get a free cup of coffee at their coffee station! Beauty influencer Sumayyah binti Nasaruddin was also in attendance, and spoke about her favourite products from the brand, especially the 6+1+1 Complete No Stress Physical Sunscreen.
