Sometimes, when it comes to movie titles, the more simple it is, the better.
Ben Affleck, who made his big screen debut as The Dark Knight earlier this year in “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice”, is currently prepping for his standalone “Batman” film. It was recently confirmed that Joe Manganiello will star as the primary villain Deathstroke, and now, he has a title for the movie.
Considering the various “Batman” movie titles that have used over the years (from “Batman” to “Batman Returns” to “Batman Forever” to “The Dark Knight” to “The Dark Knight Rises”), the 44-year-old wasn’t left with many choices. So he kept it short and sweet.
“The movie I think is going to be called ‘The Batman’. At least that’s what we’re going with right now. I might change it… That’s about all I got right now. We’re working on the script, the script is going well, I’m really excited about it,” said Affleck during an interview with the Associated Press while promoting his new film, “The Accountant”. In addition to starring the Caped Crusader, Affleck is also co-writing the DCEU solo “Batman movie” with DC Entertainment’s Geoff Johns. The film is slated to be his next directorial effort, following the crime flick “Live By Night”.
