Thai BL actors Nattapong Chinsoponsap (ณัฐพงศ์ ชินโสภณทรัพย์), popularly known as Both (โบ๊ท), and Kitiwhut Sawutdimilin (กิตติวัฒน์ สวัสดิมิลินท์), a.k.a Newyear (นิวเยียร์), captured the hearts of fans with their undeniable chemistry – both on and off-screen. Rising to fame through their engaging social media content and BL projects, the couple became one of the most beloved pairs in the industry.
Sadly, the two announced their break up after 12 years together. Both and Newyear met in 2012 and announced their engagement a few months ago after 11 years of dating. In a surprising turn of events, they recently announced their breakup after more than a decade of being together.
On 16th February 2025 (Sunday), Newyear took to social media to share the news through an emotional statement, saying, “We have ended our relationship for 2 months now. The reason was me, I who violated an important agreement that we had together, as well as other problems. So we agreed to go our separate ways to live our lives the way we want.”
The actor continued, “As for our relationship right now, we are on good terms. Thank you to everyone who had supported us all along. I also apologise for disappointing you. Thank you and I sincerely apologise to P’Both again. I accept the blame for this matter alone”. Newyear’s emotional letter quickly gained traction, with many expressed sadness about the split. However, the statement also caused an uproar among fans.
Shortly after the announcement, Newyear was spotted in London with a new foreign boyfriend, sparking speculations of cheating. Many began questioning the timeline of the pair’s breakup, wondering if there was more to the story. However, others argued that there are no proof of the actor cheating and defended Newyear’s right to seek a new partner after the split.
Prior to the split, the couple was famously starred in the popular Thai drama, “Top Secret Together”. The two also run a YouTube channel where they share glimpses of their life as a same-sex couple. Although their relationship has come to an end, both actors have made a lasting impact on the BL community.
