TGIF Sizzles With Chop House Classics

by Lainey
October 24, 2012

Just last week, we were invited by the wonderful people from ChasWood Resources Sdn Bhd for a little rendezvous at casual dining restaurant TGI Friday’s (TGIF), Paradigm Mall, where they unveiled huge surprise. For a limited time, TGIF is bringing back some classic dishes from the TGIF recipe vault with the launch of its “Chop House Classics” menu.

What is the “Chop House Classics”, you ask?

Taken with a HTC One S

Diners can choose from a fine selection of juicy, succulent meats grilled to perfection, including tender cuts of beer and lamb, fresh Norwegian Salmon, and tender chicken meat. Each dish is paired with balsamic caramelized onion, roasted vegetables in rosemary butter sauce, and creamy cheddar mashed potatoes for a complete, indulgent meal.

Of course, we tried one of each:

Chop House Salmon (RM45.90)

Taken with a HTC One S

They certainly didn’t hold back on serving us a huge slab of Norwegian Salmon fillet.  If you want to go healthy, we suggest you opt for this one. The fish was seasoned only lightly so its original flavour wasn’t masked – freshness we love. Delicious! It went really well with the balsamic caramelized onions too. You’d be asking for seconds.

Chop House Chicken (RM32.90)

Taken with a HTC One S

Now, we know for a fact that if you don’t want to go wrong with chicken (read: diet), then you should be going for servings of chicken breasts. This one’s seasoned and sautéed to perfection. Golden brown and tender, it’s hard to find a simpler chicken meal than the succulent Chop House Chicken. Pair this with the creamy cheddar mashed potatoes. Yum!

Chop House Steak (RM59.90)

Taken with a HTC One S

Who loves red meat here? The mouthwatering beef bacon wrapped fillet is going to be an explosion in your mouth! Grilled to order, this slab of beef pairs perfectly with both the creamy mashed potatoes and balsamic caramelized onions. And if you’re feeling adventurous, order a glass of wine to go with it. Don’t expect to leave TGIF still feeling hungry after though.

Chop House Lamb Chop (RM53.90)

It’s not easy to get lamb chops done proper but TGIF has got that down pat. The Chop House Lamb Chop is loaded with flavour and the portions are just right! Lamb tends to be on the “heavy meal” side but this one might just help you save enough room for dessert in your tummy after. Load this one up with the balsamic caramelized onions.

The Chop House Classic is available from now until 15th November 2012 at TGIF’s fourteen restaurants located in the Klang Valley, Penang, and Johor Bahru. TGIF’s local operating hours are 11am to 11pm daily.
