It has been a while since we last heard news about royal figure Tengku Salehuddin Shah Alhaj. He made headlines after he went public about his divorce with ex-wife Tengku Chanela Jamidah back in July 2021. He has since switch his Instagram on private mode.
After staying silent for quite some time, Tengku Salehuddin took to Instagram to reveal some shocking details about his ongoing drama with his former spouse. Through a series of postings on social media, he allegedly put Tengku Chanela on blast for taking advantage of his kindness.
“You are only nice to me when you need money, and only God knows whether you will keep to your bargain and bring my son back,” Tengku Salehuddin said. “It’s been five years since you moved to the US, and you still have nothing to show for it. You’ve rebranded yourself a hundred of times! All big talk but are there any real results? If you really were doing so great like how you portray, you wouldn’t need to ask me for help anymore. I think it’s time for you to stop this charade, wake up, and realise that Malaysia is where my son needs to be.”
In his subsequent post, the Selangor royal family member continued to call his ex-wife out, “I have kept quiet for so long on IG, and lowkey for a year to let you do your thing (I’m not sure what that is, because you seem to have a new business idea every month). But by you implying that you were persecuted, and your mental and physical health is suffering, it looks like I am the one to blame in this case.”
He added, “I have played by your rules. I have supported my son (in USD currency) and have supported you whenever you want. I gave you the divorce last year, and you promised me you would bring Bryan here for the summer this year although I’m not gonna keep my hopes up.”
Tengku Chanela has yet to address this spat publicly.
