Following the success of their Top 10 ARIA Australian Album “And Go Nowhere”, Sydney’s rising dream pop emo trio EGOISM have just been announced as part of this year’s Music Matters Live 2025 Singapore lineup.
Held in Singapore this October, the showcase festival will feature a diverse roster of breakthrough artists from across the region, including 1st ONE (Philippines), JAIE (Malaysia), James Reid (Philippines), ABANGSAPAU (Singapore), Shazza (Singapore), PSYCHIC FEVER from EXILE TRIBE (Japan), ONE OR EIGHT (Japan), and Shakira Jasmine (Indonesia), to name a few.
(Trust Me) Double Single Release
Alongside the announcement, EGOISM will be releasing their newly reworked (Trust Me) double singles, two live-evolved reinterpretations from “And Go Nowhere” – “Sydney” and “Addison Road”. The double release is now available on all digital streaming platforms. With their signature blend of dream pop, shoegaze, and unflinching emotional honesty, EGOISM’s debut album, “And Go Nowhere”, was presented as a powerful soundtrack to the confusing, chaotic, and strangely beautiful process of becoming an adult.
“You develop a different relationship with a song once you’ve played it live for a while,” EGOISM explains. “Arrangements evolve, especially in stripped-back sets. Trust Me was an experiment to reflect that looser, DIY energy. It’s all home recorded, something lo-fi that captures the versions of the songs we’d grown into over time.”
Released in May 2025, “And Go Nowhere” is an album about overcoming the paralysis of early adulthood – the fear, the confusion, and the quiet victories. It explores mental health, societal pressure, and the joy of finding clarity through music
