An unfortunate issue in the K-pop industry is stalkers, typically referred to as sasaengs. Many idols have spoken about their bad experiences with sasaengs. Most recently, Super Junior (슈퍼주니어) leader Leeteuk (이특) put one sasaeng on blast after they broke into his home twice.
On 10th April 2025, the singer made a concerning Instagram Stories post, explaining that a sasaeng had recently attempted to break into his home. Shockingly, Leeteuk also revealed that it was the second time a stalker had trespassed on his property. The post reads, “Breaking and entering. It’s shocking that we still have crazy sasaeng fans like this. This is already the second time.”.
It’s unknown if both offences were the act of the same person. However, Leeteuk’s post suggests that the break-in was the work of one sasaeng, whom he might have proof was the perpetrator. The idol also warned that he would contact the police if the individual tried to break into his home again, writing, “If it happens again, I will reveal your identity and report you to the police.”.
As a singer with 20 years of experience, Leeteuk has had his fair share of extreme stalker fans. He’s also not afraid to call these individuals out, previously exposing one for selling his phone number to the public. It’s also worth noting that sasaengs have also caused several car accidents involving Super Junior, so it’s understandable why the legendary K-pop group has no issue addressing the situation.
Many fans have since reacted to Leeteuk’s recent post, expressing concerns for the public figure. Some also noted that the idol’s apartment complex was supposed to have strict security, prompting questions about how the sasaeng could trespass onto the property. Others also urged Leeteuk to take action and not show leniency to any stalkers, fearing they might do something extreme.
