What was supposed to be an exciting evening turned into a terrifying experience for some Super Junior (슈퍼주니어) fans. Three audience members suffered injuries after falling due to a safety fence collapse during the K-Pop group’s concert in Seoul.
The incident took place on Sunday (5th April 2026), on the last day of the group’s concert at the KSPO Done. During the encore stage, as member Ryeowook (려욱) approached the stands to interact with the audience, the safety fence collapsed due to the weight of the fans crowding on top of it. As a result, three audience members who were standing near the fence fell and sustained injuries.

Ryeowook immediately left the stage to seek help from the concert staff. News outlets also reported that the idol waited alongside the fans while they received treatment. The other members also reacted to the incident, urging staff to take immediate action and ensure the safety of the other fans around the area.
SM Entertainment would later release a statement to address the situation. In the statement, the agency revealed that the authorities immediately transported the injured fans to a hospital to receive necessary examinations and treatment. The label also noted that they will provide full support for their treatment and ensure a full recovery.

SM Entertainment also issued an apology towards the injured fans and the rest of the audience for the incident. The company also acknowledged its responsibility and will review and reinforce the safety measures and audience management protocols to prevent such incidents from recurring in the future.
Fans have reacted to the news and SM Entertainment’s response, thanking them for the prompt response. Many also explained that multiple warning signs alert fans not to crowd around the fence. Regardless, the public hoped for a smooth recovery for those affected.
