Super Junior member Eunhyuk (은혁), appeared on the show “Mr. House Husband 2”, where he revealed the luxurious piece of real estate that he recently bought to live in with his family.
In one part of the variety programme, the 35-year-old also dished on the real reason on why he decided to purchase the large home for his family.
“I thought I should live with my family, so I emptied my bank account and flexed on real estate,” the rapper stated during the interview part of the show. As the show goes on, Eunhyuk also disclosed the heartbreaking story behind the grand purchase of this luxury home.
It was then revealed that Eunhyuk’s mom was diagnosed with interstitial pneumonia back in 2017, and she can only use 37% of her lungs. “The hospital suggested for her to receive a lung transplant. If she does the surgery, then she can live at most seven years,” the veteran K-pop idol explained.
He then added, “To be honest, the reason I decided to live with my family is that my mother’s health has depleted. The doctor didn’t tell us a specific time table that she has, but they always tell us to be prepared.” Eunhyuk also revealed that when his mother’s cough doesn’t sound good, he would run downstairs to check if she’s okay. He would be able to go to sleep, after making sure that she’s fine.
At the same time, his mother told the interviewer that she’s also well-aware of how much her son cares and is concerned about her. She said, “Eunhyuk is the son that moves my heart a lot. I want to always be next to my son. So it’s my joy and happiness to live with him.”
Eunhyuk then chimed in, “While I was active as a member of Super Junior, I was separated from my parents for almost twenty years, and I wasn’t able to do much for them. So my goal is to be a strong support for my family.”
