Great news for Malaysian ELFs (Super Junior fandom)! Just a few days shy of SJ’s concert in Kuala Lumpur, the group’s subunit, Super Junior-D&E (슈퍼주니어-동해&은혁) announced their upcoming world tour – and Malaysia is one of the tour stops!
The subunit will embark on the new world tour, “Eclipse”, from September 2024 onwards. The tour will kick start in Seoul before moving to other cities, including Taipei, Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur. According to the official poster, Donghae (동해) and Eunhyuk (은혁) will perform in Kuala Lumpur on 4th January 2025 (Saturday) with StarPlanet Malaysia as the organiser.
This upcoming concert marks another local event featuring Super Junior and its members, who are no strangers to performing in Malaysia. As mentioned, the whole group will perform at their “Super Show Spin-Off: Halftime” concert at Axiata Arena this Saturday (3rd August 2024). D&E also previously held a fan-con at Mega Star Arena in September 2023, entertaining their beloved fans with their captivating performances and hilarious antics.
The concert is also part of a bigger plan that the subunit has for the rest of 2024. Previously, D&E teased the release of a new single, “约定”, which features fellow Super Junior members Siwon (시원), Zhoumi (조미/周覓), Ryeowook (려욱) and Kyuhyun (규현). They’re also releasing their 6th mini album in September and another Christmas single in December. If you’re excited to see Super Junior D&E in Malaysia again, here are the details:
The concert is themed around the concept of an “ECLIPSE,” drawing from the duo’s symbolic identities — the sun and the moon. Much like an eclipse, the performance will unfold in layers, captivating audiences with its powerful visuals and stunning choreography. Fans can expect a setlist filled with fan favorites along with new tracks from their latest releases.
