Margot Robbie, who plays Harley Quinn in the film, recently told PEOPLE that their kissing scene in full makeup was “so messy”.

“It is so messy. I’ve done kissing scenes where I have lipstick on and that’s a nightmare but to have 2 of you having the lipstick on, it’s terror,” said the 26-year-old actress during the film’s world premiere at New York City on Monday (1st August).
The “Legend of Tarzan” actress mentioned that they had to make time for 10-minute makeup touch ups in between each take. She also added that she wasn’t afraid of kissing The Joker, even though he looks intimidating. She said, “Once you get over the initial shock of meeting Mr. J, you kind of become desensitised to it I guess so it seemed normal after awhile”.
Based on the original DC Comic of the same name, “Suicide Squad” centres on a group of super villains who find themselves going on a most unlikely mission for a shot at redemption.
Slated for release on 4th August 2016, the movie also stars Will Smith as Deadshot, Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flag, Cara Delevingne as Enchantress, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as Killer Croc, and Viola Davis as Amanda Waller.
