USA-founded streetwear clothing store Nerdunit has launched the latest addition for their Fall/Winter collection, lead by local designer Ronald Chew.

Centres on the theme of “Deconstruct”, the collection leads customers on an exploration into the brand’s designing process by breaking down the specific techniques as well as the skills involved in creating their signature garments.

By bringing out the word deconstruction itself, it can be understood that the main message they would like to portray is to express the youth’s feelings of being rebellious and stepping outside of their comfort zone. One of the highlights for this collection would be the use of unique and absurd elements such as care instruction labels are inverted and displayed externally on the shirts.

Apart from that, graphic designs of sample orders, crop marks and blueprints that bring forth an essence of rawness and individuality are also heavily featured in their latest collection this season.

The clothing collection also experiments the mixture of dark and vibrant colours including black, orange, purple and grey. The combination of the colours managed to create an unprecedented dark contrast that will be able to portray the cold tones of fall and winter season.

For their outerwear collection, their latest addition this time around sees many experimental designs of different types of textiles and materials used for their bombers, fleece, denim and also dual-toned jackets.

Additionally, their signature hoodies are also making their anticipated comeback with a more loose-fitting silhouette featuring variations of the label’s trademark signage and emblem. This glowing unisex jacket (as pictured below) is one of our favourites for this collection. Check it out here:

Not only that, Nerdunit also recently debuted their collaboration project with Medicom Toys Incorporated through their exclusive Nerdunit x Be@rbrick line. The interesting part is, this will be the 1st ever deal between the renowned Japanese toy company with a Malaysian streetwear brand; placing them in line with other big names including Supreme, BAPE, and KITH.

The project witnesses the release of their trademark Be@rbrick figurine dressed in signature Nerdunit gear, creating a more stylish and eye-catching design that are never seen before among fans of the bear doll as well as streatwear fashion enthusiasts.

For those who are curious, the limited edition Nerdunit x Be@rbrick comes in their classic size – standing at an overall height of 70mm. The collection will be available in limited quantities. So, go get your hands on these babies real quick!
