Malaysia’s love for mala is reaching new heights with Mala At Altitude, ringing a full-on spice obsession to Resorts World Genting.
Five exclusive creations, one fiery food trail made for those who like their comfort food with a serious kick. From now to 31 July 2026, familiar Malaysian favourites are reimagined with the bold, numbing and addictive flavours of mala, turning everyday cravings into something worth the trip up the hill.

The journey starts at Jom Makan SkyAvenue, Level G SkyAvenue, with the Nasi Lemak Ayam Gepuk Sambal Meletop, where crispy smashed fried chicken is drenched in fiery mala sambal that does not hold back. Built for sharing, the RM82.50 platter serves four people and comes, with additional drinks at RM3 each, making it a messy, loud and satisfying group feast.
At Lobby Café, guests can discover what is believed to be Malaysia’s first-ever Mala Roti Tissue, where the beloved Malaysian favourite is paired with a specially crafted mala dipping sauce.

The combination of crispy, flaky roti tissue and bold mala flavours offers a unique twist on a familiar comfort food, best enjoyed fresh and hot more than 6,000 feet above sea level. At RM9, or RM13 with a drink combo that includes iced lemon tea, iced Hainan tea, iced Hainan coffee or mineral water, it is comfort food with attitude.
For adventurous dessert lovers, Italgelato at First World Hotel, and Bakery at Genting Grand present the Mala Gelato, an unexpected fusion of creamy sweetness and warming spice.

Crafted with a special mala spice blend featuring Sichuan peppercorns, the gelato delivers a luxurious texture with a surprising kick that lingers pleasantly on the palate. At RM9 for a single scoop and RM16 for a double scoop, it delivers a smooth, icy indulgence that is quietly dangerous in the best way possible.
Meanwhile, Malaysian Food Street introduces another pioneering creation with the Mala Hainanese Chicken Rice, believed to be Malaysia’s first of its kind.

Tender steamed chicken and fragrant rice are elevated with a fiery ginger-garlic sauce infused with mala seasoning, creating a comforting yet intensely flavourful dining experience. Priced at RM24, it is also available as a RM28 combo with a choice of herbal tea including Luo Han Guo, Chrysanthemum or Sugar Cane, balancing heat with something cooling on the side.
Fire Pit turns up the heat with its Mala Ikan Patin Bakar. Featuring succulent Patin fish grilled in banana leaves, the dish is accompanied by a special mala dipping sauce and creamy peanut butter sauce served with mantou, offering diners a rich combination of smoky, savoury and spicy flavours. At RM58, with soft drinks at RM2, it is rich, bold and leaves a lasting impression.

Created exclusively for Mala At Altitude, the five dishes celebrate Malaysia’s passion for bold flavours while showcasing the versatility of mala beyond its traditional roots. Whether guests prefer savoury mains, shareable platters, light bites or desserts, the resort offers something for every palate.
To add even more excitement, Resorts World Genting will host the Mala Series Giveaway from 22 to 28 June 2026 via its official TikTok platform.
