In case you missed it, for the first time ever, SM Entertainment is trying their hand at organising a dance music festival. Yes, you read right.
Named, “Spectrum Dance Music Festival”, the 2-day event is set to take place in Seoul this October.
Under the banner, “The Next Music Paradise”, the outdoor festival will feature a whopping total of 60 artistes from multiple genres including EDM, hip hop, and of course, K-Pop.
Amongst the artistes that have been announced to date are such as current world #1 DJs/producers Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike (DVLM), Dutch DJ/producer Don Diablo, electro house kid Dyro, Swedish songwriting duo Galantis, mysterious masked performer Marshmello, SM Entertainment’s 5-member K-Pop idol boy group SHINee (샤이니), festival regular R3HAB, and more.
Fans can expect more artistes in the 2nd lineup announcement on 13th July.
“Spectrum Dance Music Festival” also promises to be “a magical space” that is designed for only its audiences, and will include interactive as well as never-seen-before shows. So patrons can expect to take part in side activities on top of enjoying the music.
Deets are as follows:
- Dates: 1st and 2nd October 2016 (Saturday and Sunday)
- Time: 10am onwards
- Venue: Nanji Hangang Park (난지 한강공원)
- Ticketing: On sale from from 5pm, 29th June (Wednesday) onwards here
And that’s not all. After its kickoff in Seoul, the festival will travel around Asia. Although its tour stops have yet to be revealed, we really excited to see what else is in store for the inaugural “Spectrum Dance Music Festival”!
