South Korean stars Song Joong-ki and Song Hye-kyo was one of the top celebrity couples in the country and Korean entertainment industry, so it’s only natural that many were heartbroken when the pair officially announced their divorce.
While both of the couple’s managements stated that the reason for their split is due to “difference in personalities”, some Chinese netizens have apparently claimed that the breakup is caused by a third party.
According to several Chinese websites, a source has confirmed that the Song-Song couple’s marriage was on the rocks because Song Joong-ki allegedly had an affair with Song Hye-kyo’s best friend as well as stylist.
The said source is apparently the assistant of Song Joong-ki and Song Hye-kyo, who is currently working in China.
Rumours about this third party have started since Song Hye-kyo was spotted in public without her ring. Back then Song Joong-ki’s label Blossom Entertainment had already denied the rumours.
But now that the couple has officially divorced, netizens come to believe that the affair may be true after all.
Furthermore, there are also rumours that suggested fellow actor Park Bo-gum as the caused of the Song-Song couple divorce.
In response to the rumour, Park Bo Gum’s agency has released a statement stating that legal action will be taken against those who spread the false rumours.
