If you don’t know who Putri Ariani is by now, you must be living under a rock! The powerhouse vocalist from Indonesia has been active in the music scene when she was a little kid, after winning the second season of “Indonesia’s Got Talent”.
Most recently, Putri became an instant hit on the internet following her jaw-dropping performance during the audition round of the 18th season of “America’s Got Talent” (AGT). To top it all off, she also received a Golden Buzzer from one of the juries of the show, none other than Simon Cowell!
The video was uploaded on AGT’s official YouTube channel and has managed to rake in over 28 million views online at the time of writing (Tuesday, 13th June). In fact, the visually impaired superstar also managed to capture the hearts of viewers from several countries across the globe. In particular, a couple of YouTubers pointed out that Putri’s voice reminds them of Malaysia’s no. 1 singer, Dato Sri Siti Nurhaliza.
Siti took to her Instagram Story to share her response to the YouTuber’s comment. She wrote to Putri, “Keep flying high, make your parents and country proud, and maintain your religious image and identity.” Following that, the 17-year-old quickly responded, “Thank you so much @ctdk. I really like your songs. Hopefully we can meet in person. I’d like to perform together with you,” to which the “Percayalah” singer replied, “If God wills, my dear.”
Hopefully, Putri’s wish to collaborate with Siti will come true one day. 🙂
