Ever hoped that your favourite online shopping destination would start selling food? Well, look no further because Shopee has just expanded its services with the latest addition of ShopeeFood in Malaysia. Yes, this means that users can shop for all their needs and this includes food delivery on Shopee. Just click on the ShopeeFood icon on Shopee’s homepage and it’ll redirect you to this wonderful addition to Shopee’s platform. However, this service would only be rolled out in batches.

As usual, the 8 million people living in the Klang Valley area get to enjoy this perk first, beginning 24th September. One might assume that since ShopeeFood is new, the restaurants retailing under this platform might not consist of cult-favourite outlets. Well, that’s a wrong perception apparently. ShopeeFood offers access to a variety of eateries from popular joints such as A&W, Burger King, Nando’s, Starbucks and Tealive. Not to forget, there’s a lot of local street food stalls selling their delicious dishes on this platform!

With new launches comes new promotions — there’s a huge lineup of promotions and discounts up for grabs via ShopeeFood. As part of its launch, ShopeeFood will be giving new users Free Delivery vouchers with RM0 minimum spend and discount vouchers worth up to RM8. From 24th to 28th September, ShopeeFood will also be offering more value for meals rated at RM10 and below. Users can also stay tuned to more ShopeeFood promotions, announced through their Instagram page, @shopeefood_my.

In conjunction with this launch, users visiting the Shopee App to check out ShopeeFood will also get to experience the festivities of Shopee’s 10.10 Brands Festival that is happening till 10th October, with more deals and promotions on the September 25th Payday Sale and 10.10 Brands Festival day itself. Furthermore, the shopping festival offers Free Shipping Vouchers with a minimum spend of RM10 and 50% off Big Brand Discounts. Wait, there’s more! Users will also stand a chance to Tap and Win a Toyota Vios.

The Chief Operating Officer at Shopee, Terence Pang said, “We are delighted to include food delivery as part of the Shopee experience. Malaysians can now shop for all their essentials online, enjoy entertainment on Shopee Live, play their favourite game on Shopee Prizes and satisfy their cravings via the app. This new service will also enable food and beverage merchants to move online and reach out to more customers, driving long-term growth. We hope that our users and merchant partners will enjoy using ShopeeFood. We will continue to improve our platform and services to better serve the needs of everyone.”

With its catchy tunes and phone notifications, users of Shopee can also expect a string of entertainment when they tune in to Shopee Live and Astro Ria on 21 and 28th September, and 5th October at 9:00pm to catch MeleTOP Bersama Shopee 10.10 hosted by prominent hosts, Nabil Ahmad, Shiha Zikir, Issey Fazlisham and Zulin Aziz.

On 9th October at 9:00pm, users will see the Shopee TV Deals – 10.10 Brands Festival Show taking place on Shopee Live and TV3. Here, shoppers will have 3 extra chances to Tap and Win a Toyota Vios as well as claim 10.10 only vouchers of up to 95% off from their favourite brands. Isn’t that cool?

Now, when it comes to the topic of ShopeePay, Shopee users are entitled to receive up to 10,101 Shopee Coins every time they top up their mobile wallets from 2nd till 9th October. This will be tripled during ShopeePay Day on 1st October. Moreover, users can use the Shopee Coins to offset when they pay for their ShopeeFood orders.

Well, what are you waiting for? For more information on ShopeeFood, visit https://shopee.com.my/m/shopeefood and check out the Shopee 10.10 Brands Festival at https://shopee.com.my/m/1010-festival.
