After speculations about their breakup last week, singer Shila Amzah clarified that it was all a misunderstanding and that she and her boyfriend Ubai Mz are still very much together.
If her words weren’t convincing enough, the 32-year-old pop star put those rumours to rest once and for all. Over the weekend, the couple officially announced their engagement. Having said that, is a certain family member not ready to welcome Ubai into the family? Here’s the story:
Shila Amzah and Ubai Mz are currently in cloud nine following the joyous celebration. In an Instagram post, the mother-of-one revealed that she and her now-fiance wanted an intimate engagement ceremony with just their close friends and family members. “Thank you all for the prayers. May we have the strength to face the new chapter in our lives,” the singer captioned.
Every guest at the event posted their congratulatory messages for the couple on their Instagram stories but one story from the 32-year-old’s younger sister caught netizen’s attention. In the now-expired post, Syada Amzah congratulated the lovebirds on their engagement but also playfully mentioned that she’s not ready to call the content creator her older brother or Abang due to the fact that both of them are the same age.
The “Bahagiakan Dia” songstress cheekily responded to her sister’s story by reposting it with the caption, “Please just call him Abang. My fiance is 4 days older than you anyway.” The younger sibling has yet to respond to her sister’s request.
Perhaps Syada is just waiting for the podcaster to officially join the family after the wedding ceremony before she starts addressing him as Abang. At the time of writing, neither Shila Amzah nor Ubai Mz have disclose details of their upcoming wedding, including the date.
