Since her grand Big Band solo concert in 2022, fans of Sheila Majid have been eagerly awaiting her return to the stage for another full concert. While the icon has remained active, performing at various events and music festivals, many have been hoping to see the jazz legend headline a show of her own once again.
It looks like their prayers have been answered, as it has been officially announced that the songstress will be celebrating 40 years of her career in music with a special concert in Kuala Lumpur later this year! Here are the details:
Concert organiser Altus Prohouse is once again set to deliver a landmark moment for the local music industry in 2025. Titled “Sheila Majid 40 Years in Music,” the upcoming concert will be a grand celebration of the one and only Sheila Majid, Malaysia’s beloved and highly respected Queen of Jazz. Yes, you heard right, the legend herself will take centre stage in what will be the most spectacular concert ever held in her 4-decade career in the Nusantara music scene.
The show will be a dazzling tribute to her legacy, a joyful, vibrant, and emotional celebration of an artist whose elegance, petite presence, and one-of-a-kind voice have captivated audiences across generations. “40 is a long career. I never imagined being blessed with the love and support of fans who have stood by me all this time. This is a gift. My longevity in this industry isn’t something I achieved alone — I’ve been lucky to have so many brilliant people, the ‘architects’ and ‘magic hands’ who’ve helped shape my career,” said Sheila.
