It’s been two days since Laurinda Ho (何超莲) and Shawn Dou (窦骁) officially tied the knot. The fairly private affair was only witnessed by their friends and families. But, Laurinda and Shawn aren’t keeping their joy quiet for long.
The duo have already released photos of their wedding day on their socials. And it definitely looks like a dream wedding. As it turns out, it certainly is for Laurinda Ho, given that her ex-fiancé and now-husband Shawn had been the one to plan every single detail for the one, special woman in his life!
As most will know, Shawn Dou and Laurinda Ho started dating four years ago, before officially deciding to get married. They revealed their wedding plans earlier this month and got busy shortly after to plan for the ceremony. Thankfully, their ceremony went off without a hitch!
Shawn had been the one to choose the venue, although the couple knew they wanted their wedding in Bali. The place had been fancifully decorated with greenery everywhere, with white and pink flowers dotting the scene. The ceremony and dinner were held under a glass canopy set up specifically for the wedding. The nearby infinity pool also had an arch connecting it, an allegedly symbol of walking hand in hand towards a better future.
When the ceremony began, Laurinda Ho appeared in a trailing white wedding dress, specially designed by Vera Wang. Roger Vivier also reportedly made her shoes for her wedding. While she was wearing jewelry provided by Graff, she was wearing a special piece on her finger. Laurinda also had with her, a pink diamond engagement ring, customised and gifted to her by Shawn for her birthday.
As per ceremony, Laurinda walked the isle with her uncle, in lieu of her late father, Hong Kong Casino King Stanley Ho (何鸿燊). But, upon seeing the beautifully, decorated venue with Shawn’s selected music playing in the air, Laurinda reportedly teared up. She later admitted she hadn’t known anything about the wedding details as Shawn had insisted on doing everything. He had supposedly wanted to surprise her with a romantic wedding.
After handing Laurinda over to Shawn, the duo exchanged their vows and rings in front of their guests. Shawn Duo honestly stated he hoped to transform Laurinda Ho from a confident and independent queen into a princess whom he cherishes and loves dearly. Shawn added that he is looking forward to starting a big family, full of love, with Laurinda.
The couple certainly don’t seem to be over their honeymoon period yet, as family, friends and fans flock to wish them well on their new journey. But, we’re certain the couple are currently enjoying the beginning of their new journey together. And who knows? Perhaps we’ll hear more about Shawn and Laurinda’s family growth soon.
