Local actor Sharnaaz Ahmad has a bone to pick with individuals who have been continuing with their panic buying mode during the restricted movement order period.

According to the 35-year-old in his recent IGTV update, he hasn’t able to purchase essential needs like breads and eggs to name few, due to shortage of stock in stores.

“To this day, I failed to get my hands on bread. I’m mad. There’s no more bread and eggs in stock. They said that there’s enough for everyone. But if people started to swarm in and buy things like crazy, what’s left? Do you want us to buy the empty shelf for dinner instead?” he said in the 9-minute and 20-second long clip.

The “Cinta Bukan Kristal” actor added, “Please don’t purchase the items as if you’re opening a bakery in your house. Do y’all eat eggs on a daily basis? Leave a little for us behind, don’t be selfish. I just want to buy a box of eggs and that’s it. Not just that, even cookies are hard to find right now.”

“How can I have my food, then? Only the chocolate shelves were flooded at that time. There’s no way I can eat those snacks everyday. Don’t be self-centred, it’s been a week since I’ve seen bread. Where can I buy a loaf of bread after this? Even my fridge at home looks like one now,” Sharnaaz further remarked in a sarcastic manner.

Gardenia recently announced that the company isn’t able to cope with the increase of demands. Let’s be thoughtful of one another and purchase only what you need.
