Suhana Khan, the beautiful daughter of Bollywood King Shah Rukh Khan has recently become the talk of the internet when she becomes the face of Vogue India’s August issue.
However, people don’t talk about her because she’s beautiful (though she is), but what qualified her to be on the famous cover, seeing that she is not exactly a celebrity but more of a celebrity’s daughter.

Nepotism is quite common in the entertainment industry, and we can see many examples of nepotism even in Hollywood. Some famous ones include Jaden Smith, Brooklyn Beckham, Dakota Johnson, Kaia Gerber, and more.
Bollywood has often been slammed for nepotism. From Sridevi’s daughter Janhvi Kapoor to Kareena and Saif Ali Khan’s child Taimur Ali Khan, nepotism has been a long debated issue in the entertainment industry. Thus, Suhana Khan’s case is not the 1st and definitely won’t be the last.
According to Vogue India, the reason the chose the 18-year-old to be the cover girl is based on many factors. “It was as much our dream to get her on the cover as much as it was Shah Rukh’s. It was an extremely mutual call to go ahead with this.”

Proud father Shah Rukh Khan even unveiled Suhana’s cover at the Vogue Beauty Awards and later tweeted a picture of him holding it at the event with a heartfelt message.

At the event, he said: “I have been gifted to be in the company of so many fantastic women and I hope my daughter can join in and be one of them someday. She is 18, she is lovely, sensitive, sweet and extremely shy but also extremely strong. I will be proud of her when she is proud of herself and the job that she does and Insha’Allah she will do that.”
It seems like it will only be a matter of time before Shah Rukh Khan’s children become Bollywood stars. According to Vogue, Suhana hopes to study acting in a university some day. Her older brother, Aryan Khan is currently studying filmmaking in Los Angeles.
