Inspired by last year’s Golden Egg Krup Krup Series, Secret Recipe is taking your dining experience to “crunchilicious” new levels with the introduction of its new Crunchy Cornflakes Series. Available at all Secret Recipe outlets (except the one in AEON Mall Taiping), foodies can now take delight in 2 delectable creations – Crunchy Cornflakes Pasta with Chicken and Crunchy Cornflakes Chicken Chop.
“Following the overwhelming response we received from the Golden Egg Krup Krup hot meal menu last year, the Crunchy hot meal series is back with a twist! The combination of cornflakes with our classic recipes offers a delightful ASMR-worthy crunch that our guests will love,” said Evelyn Lee, Head of Marketing for Secret Recipe.
Crunchy Cornflakes Pasta with Chicken (RM23.90)
The pasta served is generously coated in a creamy lemak cili api sauce for that extra kick. It is well paired with succulent chicken katsu and cornflake coating for that extra crunch. We love the juxtaposition of textures from this combo. As Malaysians, we’re always craving for some spice (or “kick”) in our meals, and Crunchy Cornflakes Pasta with Chicken ticks every box.

Crunchy Cornflakes Chicken Chop (RM27.90)
While the Chicken Chop menu is nothing new, the combo with crunchy cornflakes offer something interesting to the palate. 2. The Chicken Rice Shop launches new “Chicken Chup”
The chicken rice shop celebrated 24 years of delicious chicken rice that always satisfied our cravings, and never failed to hit the spot. And as a thank you for our loyalty, TCRS has recently released a new item to their menu, the “chicken chup” a play on the Malaysian word “Chup” meaning take a break, or pause. Like the name, the chicken “chup” was created for us Malaysians to take a breather and enjoy the goodness of food, or in this case, the goodness of The Chicken Rice Shop.
The chicken “Chup” is essentially just your traditional chicken chop, however what gives it that kick is the spicy-limey tasting sauce that is drenched over the chicken. The Sauce is made up of their homemade black pepper lime sauce, adding a little spice with a mix of lime to give that perfect combination us Malaysians are familiar with. Additionally, to quench your thirst, TCRS is introducing “Chup and Chill,” a limited-time fizzy and refreshing drink that perfectly complements the new dish.
Along with the new item, we were given pairing side dishes, their iconic Nyonya Pai Tee, Sai to fish ball soup, and their spicy ladies fingers. The combination of these dishes paired with the chicken “chup” delivered the chicken rice experience we all know and love.
