Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE First Impression: What Stood Out To Us

Have y’all been able to keep up with Samsung lately? In just the past month alone, Samsung has been rolling out product after product – much to the excitement of tech geeks. From the Galaxy S23 and S23 FE, Galaxy A05, and Galaxy Tab A9 Series, to announcements of OneUI 6, Odyssey Neo G9 and Galaxy Z Flip5 Retro, there’s plenty to be stoked about.

However, our eyes are currently glued on the new Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE (Fan Edition). As the more budget friendly variant to the flagship Galaxy Tab S9, the new Galaxy Tab S9 FE comes in 2 LCD display sizes – 10.9 inches and 12.4 inches (FE+) respectively. While the S9 FE is available in mint, lavender, gray and silver, the S9 FE+ (5G) only comes in mint and gray.

When it comes to the packaging, the tablet box is really thin – containing the following items:  the Galaxy Tab S9 FE itself, an S Pen, and USB-C cable. At 6.5mm, the newly-released tab is only 0.2mm thicker than the 6.3mm Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE. The bezels on the screen are also thin like its predecessors, but the front camera on top side comes with a 8MP wide sensor for decent photo-taking.

Based on first impressions, the thing that immediately stands out is the physical fingerprint scanner on the power button itself. The fingerprint sensor works well in both landscape and portrait modes. Although the Galaxy Tab S9 FE lacks the features of AMOLED screens (found on other Samsung tablets), it comes with a bright display that feels smooth when scrolling through webpages.
