8 Roads In Klang Valley Closed Until 2018 For MRT Construction

Drivers take note, you may experience some inconvenience over the next couple weeks.

Several roads in the Klang Valley will be closed to facilitate in the ongoing construction of the MRT Sungai Buloh-Serdang-Putrajaya (SSP) Line. The road closures is expected to carry on until the first quarter of 2018.

1. Sungai Besi Highway (6th December 2017 – 5th January 2018)

LEFT LANE CLOSURE ALONG SUNGAI BESI HIGHWAY (KM9.4 – KM9.7) NEAR KAMPUNG MALAYSIA RAYA (SUNGAI BESI-BOUND)

The closure will affect the left lane near Kampung Malaysia Raya along the Sungai Besi Highway (KM9.4 – KM9.7), before the exit to Terminal Bersepadu Selatan. Refer to the tweet above for the affected dates and time.

2. Jalan Pekan Sungai Besi (25th November 2017 – 19th January 2018)

The lane closure along Jalan Pekan Sungai Besi starts from the traffic light junction at LRT Sungai Besi (KL bound) towards MRR2 highway.

3. Persiaran APEC (23rd November 2017 – 11th April 2018)

The 600 metres stretch along Persiaran APEC will be a long term duration. The closures are being implemented in stages.

4. Jalan Kepong (29th November 2017 – 27th February 2018)

There will be a continuation of lane closures along Jalan Besar Kepong, which is near Aeon Big Kepong from now till late February next year. The lanes near Pekan Lama Kepong and Metro Perdana are also affected.

5. Jalan Putra Permai (December 2017)

To those that frequent Jalan Putra Permai, both the Puchong bound and Serdang bound routes will be affected throughout this month.

6. Jalan St Thomas and Jalan Ipoh (December 2017)

The existing road at Chip Huat Electrical & Hardware beside Jalan St Thomas has been permanently closed since 4th December. For motorists heading towards Jalan Ipoh, you are advised to use an alternate route.

7. Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah

Do note that the internal road between SG Auto Works and Sekolah Kebangsaan Kampung Batu has been closed. Those driving towards the housing area will have to take a left turn at Perniagaan Winco, pass the school entrance and turn left.

8. Jalan Kuala Selangor
