South Korean top boy group TVXQ will once again conquer the world before Yunho‘s impending military enlistment.
Korean entertainment powerhouse SM Entertainment announced on Wednesday (15th July) that the K-Pop idol duo will be releasing a new special album to express their gratitude for the love and support that their fans have shown them.
Titled “Rise As God”, the album derives from TVXQ’s band name, which means “Rising Gods of the East”. Slated for release on 20th July (Monday) through various music sites, it will mark their first comeback album since releasing “Spellbound” in February 2014.
The special album is created to thank the fans who have not given up on them for the past 12 years. The title is fitting for the duo as they’ve conquered not only Asia but also the world. The album will consist a total of 10 tracks, including a solo from Yunho and a solo from Changmin. The music videos for both songs will be unveiled through their official website and SMTOWN’s official YouTube Channel. Fans can expect to experience different musical styles from the 2 members.
The group will go on a hiatus for a few years as Yunho will fulfill his mandatory military service on 21st July (Tuesday). His group mate Changmin will also enlist in the army on unspecified date later this year.
