Since its founding in 1898 in Cologne, RIMOWA has remained a pioneer, crafting thoughtful companions for travellers around the globe. For the Year of the Horse, the German Maison has drawn inspiration from the unfettered freedom of rhythm, with a campaign titled ‘Enjoy the Ride’.
The campaign references ‘Tang Ma,’ the horse-riding performance technique of traditional Chinese Opera. It explores the enduring relationship between movement and imagination, forging a connection between cultural heritage and the contemporary spirit of travel. Directed by Dorothea Sing Zhang, the film stars RIMOWA Friend of the Brand Greg Hsu (許光漢), an award-winning actor known for his emotionally resonant performances, as well as Geng Qiaoyun, a distinguished Peking Opera master and Plum Blossom Award recipient.

While attending a Tang Ma performance, Hsu is drawn into an unexpected urban journey, his movement echoing the rhythmic gestures of the opera. Hsu carries RIMOWA’s newest design, the Original Twist in Powder Blue, a soft hue that embodies the calm renewal a new year can bring. Hsu’s Original Twist is a seamless blend of craftsmanship, with Powder Blue leather-wrapped handles and housings for TSA-approved locks, as well as a matching seal perfectly complimenting the iconic aluminium design. As Hsu moves through the city, the RIMOWA suitcase becomes a symbolic modern steed, carrying the shared spirit of travel from past to present.
The campaign imagery also features Hsu alongside RIMOWA’s latest offerings, including the Never Still Leather Flap Backpack in Grey, the German Maison’s newest Essential colours, Clay & Terracotta, as well as the full Powder Blue range. Inspired by the soothing colours of early winter mornings, the soft hue debuts on January 08, 2026 across RIMOWA’s signature Distinct, Original Twist, and Personal collections. Alongside the film, RIMOWA has released a series of visuals captured at the Grand Theatre of Tianjin, documenting the enduring legacy of this historic venue.

As the new year arrives, RIMOWA is honoured to help travellers’ journeys take shape in a continuous stride – guided by intention, imagination, and motion.
