We rely on paramedics and rescue workers to save and protect us during a medical emergency. However, police in Thailand recently arrested one rescue volunteer for sexually assaulting Thai actress Christine Gulasatree (คริสติน กุลสตรี) while she was in a weakened state.
Earlier this week, the actress took to Instagram to share a recent horrifying experience. In her post, Christine explained that she suffered a medical emergency on 31st March 2026 (Tuesday), during which the man who came to assist her sexually assaulted her. She said that she would take legal action on the matter, arguing that no one should have to experience such a terrifying situation.

Christine would share more details about the assault during a police questioning. According to her statement, the incident happened at her condominium while the actress fell weak after a panic episode. She then called for medical attention, with the suspect arriving first to assist her. Christine claimed the man then touched her inappropriately and partially undressed her. She also suggested he took photographs of her during her undressed state.
Christine said she was conscious throughout the incident but was too weak to fight back. CCTV footage from the time of the incident also showed the suspect carrying the actress in and out of her room. Authorities would later identify the suspect as Nikorn, a former rescue volunteer. Police arrested him on charges of committing an indecent act against a person over 15 by coercion.

Police say the suspect has confessed to sexually assaulting the actress and to taking obscene photographs of her. However, he claimed he never shared the photos and had deleted them after learning about Christine’s police complaint. The authorities will continue investigations to determine any additional charges before taking the suspect to detention at the Bangkok South Criminal Court later today (Friday, 3rd April 2026).
Christine said she is determined to see the case through, but notes that one person shouldn’t cloud the public’s perception of rescue workers. Netizens have reacted to the news, expressing support for the actress as she continues to stand up for herself.
