From the heartfelt embraces of long-awaited reunions to the echoing laughter around the dining table and the little ones gleefully gathering duit Raya—every cherished moment deserves to be captured beautifully. With the latest Photographic Styles, a powerful 48MP Ultra Wide camera, and the ability to record mesmerising slow-motion videos in 4K at 120fps, you can transform your memories into stunning visuals.

Let every frame burst with the rich colours of your festive attire and the radiant warmth of your celebrations, preserving the magic of the season like never before.

“Capturing the first morning of Hari Raya, the family returns to their hometown and gathers in the living room as the mother weaves ketupat while the children play traditional games. With an annual family portrait and a spread of delicious traditional dishes, the celebration is filled with warmth and joy, setting the tone for a memorable Aidilfitri.” His tips include:

  • For recording in 4K at 120fps, use steady hands to ensure stability of footage and apply Ultra Wide to capture depth in frame for a more dynamic Raya scene.
  • Lighting is essential for a great portrait photo, shoot in the morning or late afternoon to capture natural glow.
  • Use creative frames such as doorways, windows and arches to create depth in both photos and videos.
  • For Ultra Wide angles, shoot from a low angle for a dynamic view and get close while positioning subject near the centre for a more immersive feel.
  • More importantly, keep it natural and fun. Candid photos usually capture moments at their best for a lively result.

  • Get low & close – Shoot from a low angle for a dramatic, immersive look.
  • Use leading lines – Position subjects along pathways or decorations for depth.
  • Balance light & shadows – Shoot in soft natural light (morning/evening) for a warm and even glow.
  • Capture motion – Encourage natural movement (walking, playing) for lively shots.
  • Keep the horizon straight – Hold the phone level to avoid any imbalance or distortion.

  • The 2x and 5x zoom lenses can add a fresh perspective by changing the compression and depth of field. By combining zoom with the latest generation Photographic Styles and smart composition, you can produce stunning images with a new artistic vibe.
  • Portrait mode is essential for capturing that beautiful bokeh effect and achieving a stunning depth of field in your photos. It’s perfect for family portraits and other close-up shots. Plus, after you take the photo, you can still adjust the focus and blur effect in post-production by simply selecting the area you want to highlight.
  • Enable the grid feature to help you frame your photos more effectively. This simple tool is perfect for applying the rule of thirds* and ensuring your images are well-composed and visually appealing.
  • Pay attention to lighting and look for genuine moments, like laughter or special expressions. Being in the right place at the right time is essential for capturing authentic, emotion-filled shots.
  • Don’t be afraid to get creative with your angles. Using the Ultra Wide lens, for example, can provide a unique view of any scene, while tight shots can capture intricate details.

  • Enable the grid to help with composition and apply the rule of thirds.
  • The latest generation Photographic Styles can instantly set the mood and fine-tune colour grading, with the option to adjust later during editing.
  • Portrait mode adds beautiful depth and bokeh, allowing you to refine the focus in post-production.
  • Timing is essential—be sure to capture authentic, emotion-filled moments with great lighting. Experiment with various angles, such as close-ups or ultra-wide shots, to add diversity and depth. Zooming in with 2x or 5x provides unique perspectives, and when combined with good composition, it can transform your photos.

“Beraya with friends, reminiscing the golden days of 2004-2012 when visiting houses as kids. Raya was more than a celebration—it was the warmth of reunions, the scent of ketupat and rendang, and the laughter echoing through the streets. We roamed from house to house, welcomed with open arms, creating memories that still linger. From vending machines replacing neighbor’s kitchens to gathering on old wooden stairs, every moment felt cinematic. Nostalgia was in the kuih we shared and the promises to do this again, keeping the magic of Raya alive.” His tips include:
